Thanksgiving is not just eating like a regular dinner. Thanksgiving is a holiday when you sit and have dinner with your family and be thankful for what you have that someone else can’t have. Thanksgiving can be celebrated in many different ways. In Germany, Thanksgiving is celebrated as a harvest festival, and you give thanks for what you have. In Japan, they don’t call it Thanksgiving like people in U.S. do. In Japan they call it Labor Thanksgiving. Labor Thanksgiving isn’t about eating turkey. On Labor Thanksgiving Day, they honor labor, celebrate manufacturing, and give thanks to one another. Even though people celebrate Thanksgiving in different ways, and call it different names, it has the same meaning, to be grateful for the things you have and not wish for the things you want, like Christmas. Be thankful for everything, and have a great Thanksgiving, or Labor Thanksgiving!
