New Year’s resolutions! What was yours? Was it something like, “Eat healthy” or “Exercise daily”? Now, how long did you keep it? We as people, more than often, don’t keep our resolutions. Only about 19% of people actually keep their New Year’s resolutions for more than a year. I, as most people, don’t actually have New Year’s resolutions because I anticipate failing. Another reason I don’t do New Year’s resolutions is because of the phrase, “New year new you”. I don’t really like this saying for a number of reasons. For example, if you want to change something about yourself, you shouldn’t have to wait for the new year. Instead, change something you don’t like about yourself when you want instead of waiting another 12 months.
In conclusion, why wait to change yourself? Why not just go out there and do some self-improvement, even if it isn’t your New Year’s resolution!
