Weird title, right? It is a real sport though, my whole family plays it. It is a mix between racquetball, tennis, and ping-pong. It is played with a paddle and a wiffle ball. The paddle is the shape of a ping pong paddle but is bigger. It is played on a court a little smaller than a tennis court. A lot of people say that the game is very addicting.
You become friends with people very quickly. The game is played at every rec center at different times and days.
There are different levels of skill levels. Beginners are normally 2.0 or 2.5. Intermediates are normally between a 3.0 or 3.5. Advanced players are 4.0 and above.
You can play tournaments that are normally skill-based. You can play mixed doubles (girl, boy), women’s doubles, men’s doubles, and singles.
Here, in Virginia Beach, there is a scoring called rally scoring, which is played in rec centers, when there are more than 5 paddles. The real scoring of the game is called regular.
The game can be played outside and inside. There are different balls that are indoor and outdoor.
Not every paddle is the same. There are differently shaped paddles and materials that are in them. Some paddles give you power. Others might give you control.
I play this game 3 days a week with my family. You should try it!
